Ahmed El Sheikh
General Manager, PepsiCo North East Africa
Currently based in Cairo, Ahmed El Sheikh is the General Manager of PepsiCo North East Africa Business Unit – a global food and beverage leader with net revenue of over $65 billion and a product portfolio that includes Quaker, Tropicana, Gatorade, Frito-Lay and Pepsi-Cola, to name a few.
Ahmed has joined PepsiCo in 2001. Prior to assuming his current role, he was the Vice President of PepsiCo’s Bottling Operations for Saudi Arabia & Yemen from 2011 to 2013.
In 2009, he served as the General Manager for Pepsi Jordan Ice.
In 2007, he assumed the role of General Manager for Chipsy Foods Industries in Egypt. Prior to that from 2001 to 2007, he managed several Sales Organization positions in the food and beverages business in the Gulf. Ahmed held other leadership roles in sales and franchise at PepsiCo.
Prior to joining PepsiCo International, he spent 10 years at Cadbury and Johnson and Johnson ME where he held several commercial and sales roles.
Ahmed graduated from The Higher Institute of Management Studies with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations. He also conducted higher studies from Columbia Business School CSEP130 in 2011.
Ahmed sits at the board of Injaz. Ahmed has varied interests including reading, marathon running and spending time with his family.
